Resident Evil 3 Remake Seemingly Added To PSN Listings
A listing for a what appears to be a remake of Resident Evil 3 has been added to the PSN catalogue.
Gamstat.com, a website that tracks data added PSN via the system’s API, has revealed that three Resident Evil games have been added to the Japanese data banks. One is Project Resistance, the already-announced co-op multiplayer game, but two are for Biohazard RE:3, or Resident Evil 3.

The entries come with cover art that shows off new redesigns for Nemesis, Jill, and Carlos. A tweet from prolific industry observer Nibel also showed off the US cover with Resident Evil 3, rather than Biohazard, title treatment. The images suggest that a remake of Resident Evil 3 is in the works at Capcom, and seemingly soon be announced. That, or perhaps there’s a re-release with lovely new cover art on the way.
The cover art seems to suggest that there will be a special edition of the release – called the Z Version – although the data currently does not suggest what this variant may provide over the standard version.
As ever with leaks, it’s important to consider this a rumour until Capcom confirms or denies the information.
